The purpose of Apsis’ ‘Juntos Pela Floresta’ program, Together For The Forest, is to rethink the socioeconomic development model of the Amazon Forest. It uses an innovative financial model of blended finance to enable the promotion of the forest bioeconomy from the generation of carbon credits produced by keeping the forest upright.

The program proposes a model that financially benefits the traditional communities in the Amazon for their fundamental role in the preservation of the forests and its bioeconomy.

The mechanism of blended finance it employs is innovative and sustainable, looking to reinvest the resources coming from the carbon credits into the development of the forests’ bioeconomy value chains and in social programs like healthcare, education, and basic benefits programs.

These are projects that merge financial assistance with private sector governance.
